Theirs was the perfect wedding to throw us into wedding season. When friends fly in from all over the world to attend a wedding, you know the couple possesses something special. I know I am not the first to believe that these two are absolute gold-inside out. Their day was filled with smile, laughter, and tears-tears of joy and of grief. Joy because it was one of the best days, and grief because AJ was supposed to be standing next to his younger brother on the day he married the love of his life. 4 years ago AJ Blain passed away doing something he loved-flying helicopters. If I know anything about AJ, it was that he loved his family and he loved his friends and I know he would have had the biggest grin on his face knowing who his brother married. The space that Bridger and Kim made for AJ at their wedding was beautiful along with honoring what is to come. Life doesn't hand us glitter and rainbows and some days it is so dark and we have no idea how we will make it out. And then we get sweet glimmers of hope and God gives us people to walk through the mess with-that's a beautiful thing.
This wedding was filled with neutral colors, tons of greenery, and aircraft-lots of aircraft. These two come from absolutely beautiful families and it was such an honor to capture their day as they walk into this new phase of life. My words don’t do this wedding justice and I don’t think I can fully describe my love for this couple. They are going to do incredible things.
